How to Complete an E-Signature Request
Signing your documents electronically is the fastest way to keep your filing on track. Follow this guide to locate, sign, and submit your documents securely through the Client Portal.
1. Locate Your Request
Once you log in, you can find your signature tasks in two places:
- The Home Page: Check the "Requests" section at the top of your dashboard.
- The To-Do Page: View a full list of all pending items.
Tip: If you don't see the request, ensure you are toggled into the correct portal (e.g., switching from your Business portal to your Personal portal).
2. Sign the Document
- Select the Task: Click on the request and select View and Sign.
- Identify Signature Fields: Scroll to the signature line and click the Blue Box.
- Customize: You can edit the text, name, or font style if desired.
- Authenticate: Select Sign and Agree.
3. The Final Step: Submit
Your signature is not sent to us until you finish the session. After signing, you must click the Complete and Submit (or Send) button. This is typically located at either the bottom of the page or the top right corner.
Special Considerations
Joint Tax Returns (MFJ) For joint returns, both spouses must sign.
- Each spouse will receive a unique request at their own email address.
- The task will only be marked "Complete" once both signatures have been submitted.
- Please ensure we have a valid, unique email address on file for each spouse.
Manual Signing Options If you are unable to sign electronically, you can still complete your filing manually:
- Print the document from the portal.
- Sign the physical copy.

Security Note: To protect your identity, please do not email documents containing your Social Security Number. Always use the secure Client Portal for uploads.
